About
Artist Haiting Tang was born in Inner Mongolia ( China ) in 1974. Her parents are from Shanghai where her father was an actor and her mother a nurse in hospital, but due to the Cultural Revolution, the government sent them to Inner Mongolia.
Haiting thus spent all her school years there. Since the age of four, she has been passionate about painting and used it to express her imagination. In 1994, as top of her class in Inner Mongolia, she entered the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. That same year, she started teaching at the Art College of Tianjin University of Science & Technology while studying for her Master’s degree, which she received in 2001 from the Beijing Fashion Institute. From 2010 to 2011 , she was a senior visiting scholar at the Center Academy of Fine Arts under the supervision of Professor Luo Shiping , studying Han and Tang Dynasties Fine Arts. Artist Haiting Tang worked for over 20 years at Tianjin University of Science & Technology as an associate professor and a master’s supervisor.
After she settled in Switzerland, starting her career as a professional painter of contemporary art.
